St. John Cassian exists to serve the needs of Orthodox Christians in the “over the mountain” area of metro Birmingham and its surrounding communities. We are a chapel of the Monastery of the Glorious Ascension, operating under the direction and blessing of its Abbot, Archimandrite Maximos (Weimar).
