A ministry of St John Cassian Orthodox Chapel
The first at-home schooling option for Orthodox Christian parents and students in Alabama, the St. Ita of Killedy Church School was established to provide a state-wide homeschool covering for Orthodox Christians who wish to home educate their families.

St. Ita
Known as the “foster mother of the saints of Ireland,” St. Ita was an Irish abbess who established a school for children, to teach them both secular learning and spiritual formation during the 6th century.

Educational Choice
We believe that no one is more invested in your child’s success than you are, and that success cannot be measured simply by academic metrics. You have the freedom to choose to give your child an Orthodox education, and St. Ita of Killeedy Church School is dedicated to helping you achieve that goal.

Who Can Join?
Any member of a canonical Orthodox Church, or those who are actively in the process of becoming members, may join the St. Ita of Killeedy Church School family.
